Thonet sales seminar – tradition & design up close

Thonet characterises rooms and gives offices and homes an exclusive ambience.

We were invited to an inspiring workshop in Frankenberg, in which Sonja from our office took part. She brought us a lot of impressions from the workshop, which we would like to tell you about in this blog.

The workshop started with a lunch in the Thonet showroom, followed by an introduction to the Thonet team and the other participants. We then visited the Thonet Museum, where we were given a vivid presentation of the company’s 200-year history and the development of chair production from then until today.

Workshop content:

  • Design philosophy: Thonet furniture is characterised by its timeless design and high quality
  • Sustainability: Production is very resource-efficient
  • Versatility: Thonet furniture finds its place in various environments – be it in the office, in the catering trade, in hotels or at home.

In the evening, we enjoyed a great dinner and had the opportunity to get to know each other better.

On the second day, in addition to the workshop, a fascinating visit to the factory was also on the programme. With a passion for materials and special precision, the Frankenberg factory produces design icons made of bentwood and tubular steel as well as contemporary furniture by renowned designers.

We would like to thank Thonet for the great workshop and the many impressive experiences. Sonja particularly remembers the craftsmanship. “You can tell that all the products are made with special attention to detail – that’s something special,” says Sonja.

Best regards,

Giulia
