Do you actually know System 180?
When it comes to flexible and high-quality office and furniture systems, System 180 sets standards. Modular, expandable, well thought-out and always stylish – these are precisely the features that make the furniture so special. They enable agile working environments that grow and adapt to the requirements of modern companies.
A visit to Berlin
When I had the opportunity to experience System 180 in person in Berlin, I was excited to discover the furniture up close. I was particularly impressed by the showroom, which impressively demonstrates how versatile the system is. Each piece of furniture can be used flexibly and offers real added value for modern working environments.
In addition to a basketball hoop built from System 180 rods, there are numerous inviting break rooms. Old prototypes are given a new function here, and even staircases and entire room structures are made from the modular elements – an impressive example of the versatility of the system.

Production in Berlin – A special workplace
In addition to the showroom, I was able to take an exclusive look at the production facility. Here it becomes clear that behind every piece of furniture there is not only design, but also engineering expertise. The furniture is made to order – durable, functional and resource-friendly.
Production takes place directly in Berlin, which guarantees short distances. Special attention is paid to a pleasant working atmosphere: modern break rooms invite you to relax and there is an open, appreciative corporate culture. A workplace where not only the products but also the people feel good all round.

Environmentally conscious behaviour as a corporate philosophy
System 180 consistently focuses on responsibility towards the environment: durable materials, efficient use of resources and local production are central components of the philosophy. The company has been manufacturing in Berlin for over 40 years, certified by EMAS and Ecovadis. It is also actively involved in a partner network for the circular economy, which focuses on sustainable production processes.
More variety with new colours and innovative room systems
System 180 regularly updates its colour range and now offers even more options for customising the system furniture. From Q2, there are new frame colours such as graphite, coral or pine green, which give the furniture a modern aesthetic. This opens up even more creative scope for designing working environments.
What is particularly exciting is that System 180 not only offers classic office furniture, but also develops complete room systems – including stairs, platforms and multifunctional room solutions. This allows entire office landscapes to be flexibly and individually customised to the respective requirements.

Smart Work System – Flexible solutions for modern working environments
With the Smart Work System, System 180 offers intelligent room modules that combine functional and aesthetic requirements. These solutions promote an inspiring work culture and enable flexible, co-creative collaboration. This includes:
- Static room structures for clear framework conditions
- Mobile wall modules for flexible room design
- The agile PartiLine for creative processes
- Holistic office concepts for dynamic working environments
Another pioneering feature is the new Fibrapan Bio surface, which is manufactured with 100% organic glue – already in use in major projects such as GEMA in Berlin.

The history of System 180
System 180 was developed in 1984 by Jürg Steiner as a modular construction system for architectural and design projects. Since then, the company has developed into a leading provider of modern, flexible furniture systems.
Production still takes place in Berlin, where every piece of furniture is manufactured with great precision and craftsmanship. The combination of sustainable production and innovative design makes System 180 a unique provider in the field of modular office concepts.

Flexibility meets design
My visit showed that aesthetics, functionality and responsible behaviour can complement each other perfectly. System 180 creates modern, adaptable working environments with well thought-out concepts.
