The German premiere of the new Johanson Design collection in Munich

Die neue Kollektion von Johanson für die Deutschlandpremiere von Johanson mit einem stimmungsvoll beleuchteten Lounge-Bereich, der zum Networking und Verweilen einlädt.

Curtain up for the new stars from Johanson Design! On March 18, Johanson Design and we celebrated the German premiere of the new furniture collection together with 60 invited guests at the Live/Evil Club in Munich’s Gasteig.

Prior to this, the furniture was shown in this combination for the first time at Stockholm Design Week.

But it wasn’t just the furniture that took center stage. Böttcher & Kayser, the two designers who have been creating furniture for Johanson Design for many years, were also present and gave us great insights into their work – from the initial design idea to the finished product.

Here we would like to show you some pictures of the event and the new collection.

Böttcher & Kayser – More about the designers

The two designers studied industrial design in Hanover and Kiel. Since 2013, they have focused on designing furniture, lighting and customized products. They have been working closely with Johanson since 2015 and have already developed 25 products together. Their products have won prestigious awards such as the Good Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Award.

The new collection from Johanson

This year, Johanson has launched a large number of new products on the market. We were lucky enough to be able to present almost all of the interior products on March 18.

Here you can see the products we were allowed to exhibit:

AVA Sofa (Design Böttcher & Kayser) – An extremely comfortable sofa that can be combined in many ways thanks to its modular elements and creates a homely atmosphere in working environments.

Stay tuned – there will soon be a variety of extensions for the AVA Sofa.

Opus Chair (Design von Böttcher & Kayser) – The little sister of the well-known Milo chair from Johanson. Available in different heights and frame variants, the collection fits into any office or living area and is also super comfortable.

Champ (Design Böttcher & Kayser) – Inspired by a mushroom, the Champ series is an innovative addition to any workspace. These versatile stools or tables are available in bright fabrics and Johanson’s 399 RAL colors and are easy to transport thanks to their clever design.

Lindy Table (Design by Färg & Blanche) – Named after the Lindy Hop dance, which has already inspired the designers in previous designs. The connection on the frame of the Lindy Table is a real style element that can set an accent with the choice of colors.

Sketch (Design by Färg & Blanche) – A perfect dialog between material and color. The tactile quality of this design gives the edges a special touch that would otherwise be difficult to achieve with conventional materials.
